What’s the delivery time for the heating panels?
Delivery time is 1-4 weeks. We are visiting the manufacturers to fetch the panels once a month, and our recommendation therefore is to order well in advance to have the panels within the required period of time.
We tend to have some of the panels in stock and our recommendation therefore is to inquire about the delivery time by phone or email. Our contact form can be used alternatively.
What are the advantages of the AeroFlow heating panels as against the conventional storage heaters?
Unlike the conventional storage heaters the AeroFlow panels are not accumulated overnight, but respond to the conditions that currently prevail in the room. They consume power for about 10 minutes to give it then out for 20 minutes.
Should another source of heat (e.g. a fireplace) be added in the room, the heater will stop taking power and turns off. All is according to the temperature setting on the thermostat, which the heating panel will maintain.
Unlike with the conventional heaters, the consumption is about by 40 % lower.
What’s the difference between an AeroFlow panel and direct heaters?
A direct heater has no storage stuff inside, taking – as such – the power almost incessantly. It throws up and singers dust, does not have long life and is not safe.
The AeroFlow heating panel includes the fire-clay storage plates to accumulate heat. When designed correctly, the panel is taking power for 10 minutes to give it as radiant heat for the next 20 minutes. Thanks to its integrated FlexiSmart thermostat it will detect presence of another source of heat (e.g. a fireplace) in the room to stop heating.
Consumption rate of the heating panels is ca 30 % – 40 % lower than with widely used direct heaters. The thermal comfort is similar to that with tile stoves. Using the accumulated heat the heater will even bridge a gap when the room temperature drops by not more than 2°C (in case of direct heater the drop value is 7°C). It will not throw up or singe dust, has long life and is safe.
What’s the material from which the storage cores are made?
Inside our heaters, there are the heat accumulating plates, made from fire-clay. The ISA-Chrome is air-tightly pressed in under high pressure inside the plates.
What’s the side from which the power cable is led in?
The power cable is on the same side as the thermostat. The heating panels are of the double-sided type, i.e. they can be moved around as necessary.
Do the panels have any fans?
No, our panels have no moving components. Due to the AeroFlow technology there is no need of any fan to extract heat. As such, the heating does not throw up dust and is noiseless while on.
What’re the necessary power supplies and consumption rates?
The 230 V systems are enough. The AeroFlow heating panels can be connected either to power sockets or via fixed connection, from a distribution circuit junction box. It is efficient to make use of the electricity at the rate, called -for electric heating- (D57d for homes and C57d for commercial facilities – formally the direct heating rates D45d and C45c).
Where the heaters should preferably be placed?
As any other heating system would be placed or anywhere onto a freely accessible wall. The installation kit is being provided along with the shipment. We are also offering, as an accessory, handy metal stands by means of which you can place the source of heat anywhere as you need.
Can any cheaper electricity consumption rates be used?
Yes, the power supplier will allow you consumption at the rate of D57d (20-hour low rate, 4-hour high rate). For more information see the power suppliers’ price lists in the Czech Republic.
Can I use the AeroFlow panels to heat the entire house?
Of course, you’ll moreover get the space that the fuel or boiler room would otherwise take and save time as the panels are maintenance-free! It is very economical to use them. Their operability is moreover covered by our 15-30-year warranty.
Can I also keep heating an old house like this as well?
Yes, the heaters are large enough and have sufficient capacity to heat all widely used rooms.
Are your appliances asbestos-free?
Of course, our heaters contain fire-clay – the material used for heating since the time immemorial because of its high-temperature stability and long endurance.
Can I replace my old direct heater, using the existing distribution systems?
You can safely use the existing lines to power all models of our heaters with built-in control.
What’s the surface temperature of the AeroFlow heating panels?
Just thanks to the innovative AeroFlow heating technology the service value of the surface temperature of all the heater types from Thermotec ranges within 30-65° C. Efficient escape of heat and cost saving operation are ensured at these temperatures.
What’s the work included when one buys heaters including the installation? How the heaters are being installed?
For complete information, including the video animation, see the page dealing with installation of the Thermotec heating panels.
What’s the length of the power supply cable? Can I cut off the end plug?
The supply cable is 1.5 m long (only the SLIM TALL 1600 panel has a 2 m long supply cable).
You can cut off the plug without losing any warranty claims.
